Easy way or sleazy way DC? Easy way is to contact Seeger Cycles at www.seegercycle.com and tell them what you want to do. The 1400 Intruder choper kit should be close.
The sleazy way (my personal fave) is to:
1). Strip bike to bare(no paint either)frame.
2). Torch off steering head.
3). Set head to desired angle using table, and frame layed on side.
4). make cardboard mock ups for the extension in the frame downtubing and backbone.
5). Have an aircraft certified welding shop make and weld in the extensions.
6). Send frame out for powdercoating, no bondo allowed, apllied like chrome, needs to be all metal.
7). Reassemble bike.
8). Use as living room centerpiece until you can once again afford the gas for it.
9). Go for a ride and come home crying when it handles/rides/performs like shit.
10). Buy a new frame and order the kit.
Not trying to be a smartass, but doing this the old fashioned way generally doesn't work on modern frames. Iwould get the chopper kit, which consists of a reraked tripletree set and longer tubes/hoses/wires. Worth the money if you can get it t work.
Good luck. Chopping a metric can be a real nightmare.
